Roberta Paraninfo

Roberta Paraninfo started her musical career as a pianist, going on to become a conductor and teacher, and since 1994 she has founded and conducted several choral formations.

Currently she conducts the choirs at the Genova Vocal Academy, a choral and musical training course she established in 2005.  These include the children’s choir “I Piccoli Cantori”, the single voice youth choir “Giovani Cantori”, the mixed youth choir “Sibi Consoni” and the vocal group “Genova Vocal Ensemble”, with whom she has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions.  She also conducts the women’s choir “Good News!”, the “Steffani Conservatoire Choir” (Coro del Conservatorio Steffani) and the “Steffani Chamber Choir” (Coro da Camera Steffani), from the “A. Steffani” Music Conservatoire in Castelfranco Veneto.

A great believer in the importance of music education from a tender age, she organizes music education projects and choral development for Primary school children in Genoa, and, in parallel, training courses for teachers and choir conductors all over Italy, on behalf of FENIARCO and various Regional Associations.  She taught Choral Exercises at the Castelfranco Veneto Conservatoire (TV) from 2014 to 2017.

Together with M.° Gary Graden, she conducted the “Italian Youth Choir” (Coro Giovanile Italiano), a FENIARCO project, from 2015-2016.

She also teaches Piano Accompaniment at the “L. Canepa” Conservatoire in Sassari, and is a five-time winner of the prize for “Best Conductor” in national and international choral competitions.
